Military Literature Festival to start from December 6

CHANDIGARH: Punjab government would hold a Military Literature Festival at the Lake Club in Chandigarh from December 6 to December 9. Talking to media, tourism and cultural affairs minister Navjot Singh Sidhu said apart from interactive sessions on military and warfare with war veterans, sessions on poetry and arts would also be part of the festival. “It will be a perfect opportunity for the young minds to learn about their rich history, culture and legacy. A cultural evening has been planned for December 6 in which singer Gurdas Mann will perform,” he said.

Lieutenant General T S Shergill, senior advisor to chief minister, informed that the pre lit fest activities, such as the archery competition, shotgun shooting and Army Polo match held at Patiala, received tremendous response. According to him, this year, events like militarythemed photography competition, cyclothon, off roading show, nature trail run for women and children and a bird watching workshop have been added.
