The Kolkata Literary Meet will take place in Victoria Memorial Ground from 23rd-27th January, 2024. The event is set to captivate literature enthusiasts with scintillating conversations and cultural programmes. The lineup features writers like Sudha Murthy, Booker Prize winner Damon Galgut, John Boyne (author of The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas), Sri Lankan author Ashok Ferrey and Jnanpith award winner Amitav Ghosh.
Women in art is a focus area in the festival and sessions will celebrate artists like Amrita Sher-Gil.
The Junior Kolkata Literary Meet for young readers will include talks by Murthy and Boyne, and a session celebrating 100 years of Sukumar Ray’s classic.
The performance line-up will include performances by Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah, musical performances by Anupam Roy and Shubha Mudgal as well as an Indo-Polish dance performance.
