Minister of State for Culture Mahesh Sharma on Wednesday said artists, authors, sculptors and literary persons are the true messengers of the rich Indian culture.
Sharma was attending an event at the National Museum here along with Minister of State for Finance Santosh Kumar Gangwar to launch a book titled “Bhartiya Kala Mein Salil Kridayen Evam Sadyahsnata Nayika” written by Kshetrapal Gangwar and Sanjib Kumar Singh.
“India’s culture and heritage is her identity to the world. And authors from centuries have been capturing the various art and culture in books. This gives a chance to upcoming generation to know about our country’s rich history. I congratulate both the authors for bringing out such a valuable book for the masses and especially for the research scholars,” the minister said.
Written in Hindi and published by the National Museum after a few decades, the book highlights the works done by artists hailing from Mathura and describes a water sport called “Salil Kridayen”.
