Bhubaneswar |Wednesday, 25 July 2018 : Outlook editor Ruben Banerjee launched senior journalist Prasanta Patnaik’s ‘Trutiyanayan’ and ‘Gandhijinka Dukha’ here recently in the presence of a large number of eminent persons.
Banerjee, who had begun his journalistic career in Odisha and was closely associated with Patnaik, admired his writings terming them as testimony of free journalism without fear or favour.
Literary critics Adhyapak Biswaranjan and Dr Asit Mohanty appreciated Patnaik’s writings and expected that his books “Trutiyanayan” and “Gandhijinka Dukha” would be accepted by readers. They emphasised that the Sahitya Akademi should recognise journalistic writings published as columns in newspapers as pieces of literature.
Eminent persons like writer and actor-director Ananta Mohapatra and poet Jagannath Prasad attended, among others.
The Associated Media Foundation felicitated cartoonist Kamalakanta Rath and young photographer Ayush Patnaik and presented momentous to Banerjee, Adhyapak Biswaranjan, Dr Asit Mohanty and others associated with the publication.
