It was a space for aspiring as well as veteran literary enthusiasts to discuss their thoughts about the new literature at the Pappathy literary festival organised by city based publishing group, Pappathy Books.
Both young and old thronged in to take part in the two-day fete organised at Susheela Gopalan Smaraka Hall, near AKG centre, Palayam. Apart from poetry recitation and book releases, the programme also saw debate and discussions on new media literature and importance of reading in today’s society.
The fete was inaugurated by poet Anwar Ali and was followed by a talk on new age poetry. Addressing the assembled crowd, veteran poet Anwar Ali stressed on the importance of language which is considered as the backbone of poetry. Poet KV Alivikutty, Nadhi, National Award winners Sajeev Pazhoor, V C Abhilash, poet Sandheep K Raj were also spotted at the do.
