Noida’s own children’s litfest ‘Kukdukoo’ underway

To create a joy for reading in a child’s early years, Noida’s first interactive Children’s Literature Festival – Kukdukoo Lit Fest is happening on 2nd and 3rd February 2019 at Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, Noida. The festival is going to be a one-of-its-kind interactive lit fest for children of Noida-NCR to share good literature and revive the habit of reading in young children. There are going to be more than 10,000 books from national and international publishers to help children discover their thirst for reading and learning.‘My vision has always been to ignite a passion for literature and develop a lifelong habit of reading amongst children and even their parents’ says Abhishek, Co-Founder of KLF.

 

 

Kevin Missal, the Author of Bestseller Dharmayoddha Kalki: Avatar of Vishnu says, ‘I am pumped up about coming to Kukdukoo Lit Fest where I will be talking about Harry Potter books and what makes them so universal. It will be a fun interactive session where kids can come dressed up as one of their favourite characters from the Harry Potter series’.

Kukdukoo Litfest 2019 is going to feature many award winning and renowned personalities from the world of literature. There will be over 40 artists from India and Overseas who are prominent and celebrated authors, storytellers, illustrators, and theatre artists including Geeta Ramanujam – an internationally acclaimed master storyteller who is going to undertake a storytelling session for children as well as parents. She is also the Executive Director of Kathalaya Trust, and the Founder of the Academy of Storytelling, the only globally recognized Academy for Storytelling in the world.

Some of the other important names are Seyda (member of European Storytelling Federation and one of the three founders of SEIBA International Storytelling School in Turkey); Suvidha Mistry (a passionate illustrator who has illustrated more than 100 books for various publication houses in India); Rituparna (a renowned storyteller, trainer and consultant) and Cordis Paldano (a very talented theatre artist and author from Chennai).
