KHORDH : The sixth Khordha Book Fair was inaugurated at the Geeta Bhavan ground here on Sunday in the presence of many noted writers and book lovers.
Inaugurating the book fair, local MLA Rajendra Kumar Sahoo said book fairs bear importance as they spread language and literature. The Khordah Book Fair would certainly encourage readers to buy and read books.
Book fair committee chairman Dr Dilip Srichandan presided over the meeting. Among others, working president Baikuntha Nath Rajguru, chief coordinator Dr Dhirendra Nanda and general secretary Krushna Chandra Harichandan, convenor Shashi Bhushan Mishra highlighted about book stalls.
Khordha Sahitya Sansad president Gopal Krushna Das, educationist Bhimasen Pradhan, lawyer Shaktishankar Mishra, Prof Narayan Rao, Dr Niranjan Mohanty, Satyabadi Baliarsingh, Prafulla Kumar Samantaray, Dr Dhaneswar Sahu, Dr Jogesh Chandra Rath, Dr Brundaban Panda, Gobinda Chandra Moharana, Purna Chandra Hota, Krushna Chandra Das, Bimal Sarangi and Sarbeswar Mohapatra were present.
