For the first time, the Kannada Sahitya Sammelan passed only three resolutions that can be practically implemented before the next meet.
It urged the government to implement recommendations of the Kannada Development Authority on government schools, and the revised Sarojini Mahishi report, and also use Kannada on social media platforms used by the government.
Sammelan president Chandrashekar Patil had said earlier that he would urge KSP and the sammelan to pass a few resolutions that could be implemented by the government before the next meet. The sammelan also made a special mention urging the government to impress upon the UGC to accord recognition to Karnataka State Open University.
