DISCUSSION ON BEST-SELLER ‘SAPIENS’ TO BE HELD TODAY

A discussion on world’s best seller book ‘Sapiens’ by Yuval Harari will be held at Swami Vivekananda Library on Saturday. Every month, the Club Literati organizes a book discussion wherein a discussion on books by different authors is conducted.

This time, at Club Literaty’s monthly Book Club Discussion, the world’s number one bestseller book ‘Sapiens’ will be discussed. In this discussion, various aspects of the book will be discussed and a quiz based on the book will also be held.

This book, written on the history of human civilization, was first published in the Hebrew language in 2011. It was published in English for the first time in 2014 after the popularity gained in Hebrew. Since then, the book has sold many millions copies worldwide. This book has remained the world’s bestseller book ever since.

In the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, history professor Yuval Harari has tried to explain the entire history of human civilization in this book. According to him, there are four phases of human history as a species, first Revolution of consciousness, second ‘Agricultural Revolution’, third ‘Political Revolution’, and fourth ‘Scientific Revolution’.

The author has given his opinion on the future of human civilization in his book, discussing the causes and effects of every revolution.

In this programme club literati member Vineeta Bhatnagar will be the host of book discussion whereas Aditya Krishna will be conducting the quiz on this book.

This programme is open to all. Anyone in the city who has read this book can come to the library at 5 pm and become part of this event.
