The Kannada Sahitya Parishat has picked Dharwad, the cultural centre of Karnataka in the north, to host the 84th Kannada Sahitya Sammelan. Executive committee of KSP, which met on Saturday to decide the next venue, said the sammelan will in all probability be held in December. After six decades, the event will be returning to Dharwad, the land of writers. The previous sammelan was held in 1958 and Kuvempu chaired it.
