Thirty nine illustrators, including the well known Sir Quentin Blake, Kitty Crowther, Lydia Monks, Nick Sharratt and Axel Scheffler will all be illustrating a book called Kind. For every book sold £1 will be donated to Three Peas, a charity that helps refugees.

The book is to be published by Alison Green Books, an imprint of Scholastic. The book will contain inspirational messages about kindness illustrated by all the contributors.

“Kind is one of the most important projects I’ve ever worked on. I’m thrilled to be raising money for Three Peas, to support their vital work, and I’ve been overwhelmed by the response from all of the illustrators. I’m incredibly grateful to them for their generosity in donating the artwork for the book, and would like to thank Axel, in particular,
for all his support in championing the project. This feels very much like the right book at the right time. With so much division in the world, it seems more important than ever to talk about kindness, and to offer children a positive, hopeful and empowering message,” Said Alison Green, as reported by The Bookseller.

Three Peas is a charity that works to help improve the life of refugees in Europe. They accept donations and their work has helped build a community center and initiate a housing project for refugees not sufficiently sheltered in the winter.

Kind will release in April 2019.
