The 25th Beijing International Book Fair will be displaying more than 300,000 newly published books from across the world, said the organiser at a press briefing.
93 countries and regions are said to participate in the Beijing International Book Fair, where a total of 2,500 exhibitors will be present. The book fair is to be held at the China International Exhibition Center from August 22
to 26.
2018 commemorates the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and openingup, and thus, about 5,000 books will exhibit China’s culture and achievements over the years, said the organizer.
This year’s guest of honour at the fair will be the African country Morocco. Morocco is said to showcase some 800 types of books and will conduct different events to present the African culture and China-Morocco relations.
A special exhibition for children’s books will also be held for the very first time in the book fair, the organiser mentioned.
