Jammu, September 17 : Four writers from J&K took part in a three-day literary event titled ‘Ram Sarup Anakhee Samriti Kahani Goshthi’ held at Dalhousie in Himachal Pradesh.
The event was organised by Kahani Punjab, a literary organisation.
Baljeet Singh Raina, Shivdev Singh Manhas, Rattan Talaashi and Jang S Verman attended the event in which 23 writers from different states of the country, including Rajasthan, New Delhi, J&K, Punjab and Haryana participated.
They presented Hindi version of their short stories originally written in Kashmiri, Dogri and Punjabi languages.
After the reading session, Rattan Talaashi said there was a dominance of poetry over prose in Kashmir. He wished that such programmes should be organised in Kashmir as well.
