RAJANNA-SIRCILLA (TELANGANA) : As promised, the State government has extended financial assistance to progressive writer and poet of Mustabad mandal, Chaitanya Prakash, who has been bedridden following a paralytic stroke in February this year.
Collector D. Krishna Bhaskar handed over a cheque of ₹3 lakh to Mr. Prakash at his residence in Baddam Yellareddynagar in Sircilla on Tuesday.
Following reports of his inability to meet expenses of his treatment, Minister for IT and Municipal Administration K.T. Rama Rao had announced assistance for Mr. Prakash, who has his mother and sister keeping vigil at his bedside.
The Collector along with the Minister’s personal assistant Srinivas, Municipal chairperson S. Pavani and others visited Mr. Prakash’s house located in the dingy lanes of BY Nagar to present the cheque.
