P.P. Balachandran

Balachandran, a Delhi-based senior journalist, has the rare distinction of working across the whole media gamut — print, radio and television, wire service, and the Web; In his four-decade long professional life, Bala has worked with The Washington Post, Reuters, Al Jazeera, India Today, Gulf News, and The Peninsula (Qatar) besides several other national and international media houses. His book, A View from the Raisina Hill, released last year is a collection of select writings based on his vast experience as an international journalist. He is also a well-known columnist in Malayalam whose writings appeared in several leading Malayalam publications such as Malayalam weekly, Kalakaumudi, Mangalam and Kaakka. Balachandran is also a former news reader in AIR (Malayalam) and Doordarshan (English).
