One of the most prolific writers of the world, Tagore, the first non-European recipient of Nobel Prize in literature, introduced letters as a form of literature. He wrote some 1416 letters addressed to his wife, daughters, niece associates and well wishers. These letters talk of his creative life, his hopes and disappointments. A record label has compiled the letters in a audio album, containing some 76 compact discs. The President of India, Ramnath Kovind, accepted the first volume of this album recently at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
