An estimated one lakh titles to be on sale, thanks to National Book Trust
PUDUCHERRY : The second edition of the National Children’s Book Festival gets under way at the Town Hall, Cuddalore on November 14.
Hosted by a collective of book lovers and civil society leaders, the fete will showcase a wide range of children’s books as well as a host of authors.
According to the organisers, with the aid of the National Book Trust an estimated one lakh titles will be on sale.
The objective of the event is to “get children and books together and celebrate the joy of reading”. Apart from showcasing books, the event will also feature a film festival, planetarium shows, theatre, and competitions in quiz, painting and photography.
ISRO scientist Mayilsamy Annadurai will inaugurate the event. A host of authors and other dignitaries are expected to participate.
