Jammu : The J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages on Saturday organised Mahila Kahani Goshthi at SPMR College of Commerce.
Delivering a presidential address, Rita Jitendra, former secretary, JKAACL, appreciated short story writers for their participation and also applauded the role of the culture academy for providing a platform for all languages, literature and culture of the region.
Chief guest Prof Neerja Mattoo complimented women writers who presented their short stories. She said as portrayed in the short stories presented there, social evils required to be reformed and women, on their own, started taking this challenge using short stories, poetry and other forms of creative writing as a strong and effective medium.
