BHUBANESWAR : In good news for Odisha literature lovers, two Odia writers – Gayatri Sharaf and Suryamani Khuntia – will be conferred with this year’s prestigious Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award.
While Sharaf will get the award for her short story collection ‘Ita Bhati Ra Shilpi’, Khuntia will receive the Translation Prize by the Akademi for his book ‘Juganta’.
A decision in this regard was taken by the Executive Board of the Kendra Sahitya Akademi at its meeting in New Delhi on Thursday.
