Fifteen-year-old Srividya Prasad has a strong passion for writing and reading novels that has now manifested in a poetry book. Having spent a better part of her growing up years in the US, she is currently a student of Sri Vani Public School, Rajajinagar. Right from a young age, she developed an insight into poetic imagination.
Her latest work is a collection of poems, ‘Voyage Through Verses’. She has written on various themes such as music, anger, river, dreams, vacation, Christmas, nature doodling, elections and parents.
Her work reflects her vivid sense of imagination, keen observation and her dream of making the world a better place.
It is a voyage through her fondness for music, her quest to find the cause of anger and a way to control it, her favourite pastime of reading good books and more.
Her love for nature is visible in the verses that talk about blooming colourful flowers and birds that sing melodious songs. She says that through poetry, she wishes to rediscover nature and enjoy simple pleasures of life like rain.
