PRATIM BARUAH is a young Assamese poet and translator. He has published three collections of poems.His first book of Assamese poems ,”Anuposthiti”(Absence), was published in 2009. He is the recipient of Munin Borkataky Sahitya Award in 2015 for his 2nd poetry collections “Aaru Nirobota”(And Silence).In the Year 2017 he received the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar for his 3rd poetry collections ,”Xodhahe Nohol Tok O Bokul”(This I couldn’t Ask You O Bokul). A regular contributor to leading literary magazines and newspapers of Assam he also regularly features in poetry readings on All India Radio;Guwahati. His poems have been published in reputed magazines like Indian Literature of Sahitya Akademi
